Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SubstackToYT ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

SubstackToYT is an AI-powered tool that converts Substack newsletter articles into short-form and long-form YouTube videos. The Service uses large language models to generate scripts, text-to-speech technology to produce voiceovers, and AI image generation to create visuals. Generated videos may be published to your connected YouTube channel on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must own the Substack articles you submit, or have explicit permission from the copyright holder to use them
• You are responsible for all content generated using your account
• You must ensure that content you publish to YouTube complies with YouTube's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• You must keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Generate spam, misleading content, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or restrictions
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's APIs
• Use automated means to submit articles or trigger video generation at a rate that constitutes abuse
• Resell, sublicense, or commercialise access to the Service without our written consent

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the original articles you submit. You retain ownership of the videos generated by the Service. SubstackToYT claims no ownership over your generated content.

The SubstackToYT platform, including its code, design, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account without notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your own account at any time from your Account settings.

7. Subscription and Billing

Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly. Charges are processed by Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

8. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SubstackToYT and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SubstackToYT and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your submitted content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction within the United States.
